Legacy Parks Foundation Luncheon
Legacy Parks Foundation is an East Tennessee nonprofit organization working to ensure that the community enjoys exceptional recreational opportunities, natural beauty and open spaces, and that these assets exist for generations to come. It works to preserve the area’s natural resources and to expand parks, create trails, and increase access to our rivers. A major fundraiser for the organization is a luncheon attended by nearly 1,000 people featuring notable figures in outdoor recreation. Partners in Sports has assisted with the operations and execution of the event for the past several years. This event provides a tremendous opportunity for members to interact with civic and business leaders as well see first-hand the execution of the event.
Phillip Fulmer Golf Classic
The Phillip Fulmer Golf Classic to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the Tennessee Valley has been impacting young lives for more than 20 years. The first D.D. Lewis Celebrity Golf Tournament was held at Whittle Springs Golf Course on July 1, 1979. D.D. is a Club alumnus who played football at Fulton High School. He went on to play at Mississippi State and professionally with the Dallas Cowboys. The tournament was made possible through the efforts of its founders, The tournament changed its name to the Phillip Fulmer Golf Classic in 2000, and since then the tournament has raised more than $1 million for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley. The event provides an opportunity for students to experience the planning and logistics of a charity golf tournament as well as interact with civic and business leaders in the community.

Recent professional development activities include: Scott Stallings Kids Play Free Golf Tournament, USA Cycling Championships, Mercedes Benz Golf Tournament, Music City Bowl, Tennessee Golf Foundation Championship Events, Eric Berry Football Camp, Food City 500, NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament, Food City Junior Golf Clinic, College Football Playoff National Championship Game, Secret City Half Marathon, ASTROrdinary Dobbs Charitable Golf Classic, Tennessee Invite Track & Field Meet, One Knox Soccer, Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, USA Diving Olympic Trials, and Volunteer Club Tailgates.
