Golf Tournament

Great Day on the Links
for 17th Golf Tournament

It was a great day for golf Monday, June 14, 2021, as Partners in Sports hosted its 17th scholarship golf tournament. The tournament took a hiatus in 2020 but came back better than ever.  The Club at Gettysvue hosted the event as 92 golfers hit the links to show their support for Partners. The event grossed nearly $25,000 including sponsorships, gifts-in-kind, and silent auction proceeds.

There was a great turnout of program alumni as well. Participating this year: Brad Briggs (2014), Drew Clemmons (2003); Chad Culver (1999), Jennifer Hall (2000; 2002), Matt Hollifield (2013), Brad Jacoby (2006), Jon Janis (2012), Patrick Lawson (2010), Scott Mann (2007), Todd McMinn (1997; 1999), Stan Norris (2016), Jason Pedone (1998), Allan Sitzler (2000), Todd Wakefield (2008), Ryan Willis (2005), and Caleb Wilson (2019).  Partners in Sports founder Dr. Buck Jones was also in the field.

Great job by the Championship Committee on planning and executing the event. Cade Ramsey did a stellar job as tournament director. Bailey Alexander and Libby Anderson managed the silent auction. Tae Bateman, Logan Hittle, and Kaleb Grabert oversaw course operations. Lora Robinson did an excellent job overseeing player hospitality. Thanks to the Visit Knoxville Sports Commission for continuing as the title sponsor. Also, thanks to Tennessee Athletics, Steve Sams, First Bank, Chick-fil-A, Moe’s, and  Hop & Hollers for their support of the tournament.

The flagship campus of the University of Tennessee System and partner in the Tennessee Transfer Pathway.
